FAQ

What treatment is going to be best for me?

The best starting point is booking a consultation with me. We can talk about what it is that’s bothering you and how best to tackle it.

I can help you understand the best course of action and find a suitable budget and timeframe.

Consultations just require a £20 booking fee which is redeemable against treatments or products.

Will I get instant results?

Your bespoke facial will restore instant radiance yes. But (sadly) there’s no such thing as one and done. Skin health is achieved over time and your client journey may include different treatments over a period to reach your skin goals.

How many peels will I need?

This question is a little bit like “how long is a piece of string…”. There are different factors to consider such as your initial concern, your skin type and your goals. I will help plan a course focused on results.

What is the difference with medical grade skincare?

The key factors to medical grade skincare is that it has been created (usually by dermatologists, pharmacists, skin experts) to treat specific skin conditions. These include rosacea, pigmentation, acne and lines / wrinkles.

You won’t notice any medical grade skincare brands in shops or on the high street. This is because they are purchased and prescribed to you from a medical professional or from someone like me, (a skin geek and level 4 certified aesthetic therapist).

Medical grade products undergo a variety of tests to be able to include the correct potency of actives to help support your skin.

Skincare products that are available to you in supermarkets, shops and on the Internet don’t go through this thorough testing. They will only contain the tiniest amount of active ingredients and therefore will never penetrate below the epidermis.

Don’t be fooled by high prices or luxury packaging, Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but just because you’re paying a higher price doesn’t mean it’s any good for your skin. What really matters is the testing, the ingredients and the potency, not the logo on the front of the product.

I’m in my 40’s, what would you suggest?

Getting older is a blessing.

If you’re concerned about the laughter lines that are appearing or that you’re still looking tired after a good night’s sleep then there are a few different treatment avenues we can explore. I would definitely invest in medical grade skincare for your home routine and I can talk to you about Vitamin-A and why I love it so much.

Book your consultation with me to get the low down on looking great - not looking “done”.

Do you do anti-wrinkle injections?

No - I’m not a medical Nurse or Doctor, plus I feel that there are a lot more non-invasive alternatives out there if you’re wanting a more youthful appearance. Botox isn’t the only option for reducing lines and wrinkles.

Is the booking deposit for all treatments?

Yes, all treatments require a deposit of £20. This is taken at point of booking and deducted from your bill. These are the booking terms and I’m unable to confirm your treatment in the diary if payment hasn’t been received at the point of booking.

How do I cancel my appointment?

Please call 01824 253 022 as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change your appointment. I do ask for a minimum of 48 hours notice. Failure to arrive or cancel within this timeframe will mean your deposit is processed.

I’ve never had a hot stone massage, will it hurt?

I would always recommend you try a hot stone massage, they are relaxing, soothing and best of all help relieve tension. The stones are smooth and warm, they are used during the massage to offer a deeper level of massage. You may feel a little achy post treatment but this is normal and very similar if you were to have a regular massage.

What’s your Covid-19 policy?

As we now move into a new normal of living with Covid-19 I still want to ensure clients that cleanliness and hygiene is and always will be a priority. I ask any clients that are feeling unwell with symptoms of Covid-19 to just reschedule to a time when they are feeling better.

I will continue to wear gloves and face masks during my close contact and sterile treatments such as skin needling and peels. I will leave it to your own discretion if you want to wear a mask or not during your visit. It’s your choice. I rely on the information provided by gov.uk and will update this information should recommendations change.
